Join us on August 30th, August 31st, and September 1st, 2024 for Ancient Sounds - a three-day music event that celebrates the rich musical traditions of the Celtic and Appalachian musical roots of our region. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Historic Ramsey House in Knoxville, Tennessee, this unique festival offers an opportunity for visitors to be immersed in captivating melodies and foot-stomping rhythms as talented musicians and performers transport you to a bygone era. Experience the soulful tunes of Celtic music, resonating with ancient melodies and haunting ballads and then delight in the vibrant sounds of Appalachian music, deeply rooted in our East Tennessee history.

Dinner in the Fork & Silent Auction

Make plans now for an extraordinary evening of delectable flavors and enchanting melodies at Dinner in the Fork, on August 30th, 2024- the opening event for Ancient Sounds Music Festival on September 1st. Beginning at 6 pm on the beautiful grounds of the Historic Ramsey House, attendees will savor mouth watering creations by Sweet P's BBQ, renowned for their delectable barbecue and flavorful side dishes. Your ticket also includes 1 complimentary Sugarlands Distilling signature cocktail, Schulz Brau Brewing beer, wine, or soft drink. Tea is included with the dinner. Enjoy the food as you take in the two featured artists of the evening: WestWend and Four Leaf Peat! Browse the silent auction...our largest fundraiser of the year!

Families of the Fork Reunion - Free

Saturday, August 31, 2024 @ 10am - 2:00pm

Join your Families of the Fork group for its second reunion on Saturday, August 31st, form 11 to 2 o’clock at Historic Ramsey House. The event is free, but food trucks will be on site for purchasing a meal or dessert. A large tent, tables, and chairs will be provided, along with the opportunity to connect with others whose roots lie in the lands of Knox County between the French Broad and Holston Rivers, all the way to the Jefferson and Sevier County lines.

Set up will begin at 10. If you like, bring a market tent and table where you can share your family histories, photos, and memorabilia with others who might have attended Sunnyview, Carter, Asbury, Ramsey, Marbledale, Riverdale, Midway, Thorn Grove, or Union Elementary schools. Invite your Fork church friends and relatives to reminisce with you of days gone by! Genealogy resources will also be available.

Gathering on the Grounds

Sunday, September 1st, 2024 @ 11:30am - 5:00pm

Join us for an unforgettable day of music, food, and community at Gathering on the Grounds! This exciting event features live performances by talented local artists, accompanied by an array of delectable offerings from our lineup of local food trucks and local breweries. The Historic Ramsey House will also be open for tours! Sign up early, as tours often sell out during major events.
