Beginner Blacksmithing

Join us at Historic Ramsey House for our exciting “Beginner Blacksmithing” class! Delve into the time honored craft of blacksmithing and create your own hand forged pieces.

In this introductory course, limited to just 6 participants per class, you’ll receive personalized attention as you learn the basic skills of blacksmithing. From crafting hooks, nails, and keychains, you’ll walk away with tangible items that you’ve forged yourself.

Our small, intimate class setting ensures that you’ll have ample opportunity for hands-on learning. The class runs from 9:30 am to 4pm, with a break for lunch at 12pm. Lunch will be provided but please let us know of any dietary restrictions.

Classes are scheduled for March 7th, May 30th, and June 13th. The cost is $140 per person, or $110 for members of Historic Ramsey House (ages 18+). Each class will teach the same set of skills, so keep an eye out in the future as we add classes that will build upon what you learn here!
